I've decided that it's time someone put together an illustrated list of cool aliens/creatures, so I'm going to list all the ones I have, and then hopefully others will jump in and add the ones I don't. 😄

First, obviously, there's my own aliens, some in the marketplace, but most free. This pic shows all of them to date, plus the little rhino guy in front is my next product, current a WIP. Some have free clothing available, and I'm always working on more for them...

Dodger just released  Zzasz at PoserPros recently, not sure if it's available anywhere else. The texture isn't that great, so I've applied my own procedural in this image, but it's a pretty cool figure.

Some things are gone from the marketplace, but you might be able work something out with the creators. BLBarrett's (not sure about username spelling) Lifeform 387 is rather menacing (texturing mine)...

Sixus1's werewolf (there's a she-wolf, too). Again, the picture doesn't do it justice. This belongs in the shadows with a little postwork done on the fur.

There are tons of dragons out there, but Daz's Hatchling Adult makes a pretty good intelligent alien, I think...

Yep.. BadCo did that over in the poser usenet group.

On the Daz pixie.. remember th epower pixe (the only way he's available has LOTS of morph options, courtesy of your truly.

(I also did the mew morphs that were added in the Daz gremlin this last year as well.)

RawArt has a number of creature morph/texture sets as well...

Way too many people take way too many things way too seriously.

x2000 ( ) posted Sun, 16 April 2006 at 10:57 AM

...but I like the Hatchling even better. For some reason I just picture this one as a smart-mouthed little tough-guy with a cigar hanging out of his mouth.

x2000 ( ) posted Sun, 16 April 2006 at 11:01 AM

Gareee: Thanks, I've been wondering about that little troll for ages. Had a backup disc go bad on me once and lost all the original ZIPs with the readmes and all, so I had the installed files and couldn't remember where they all came from.

I've been meaning to pick up the Power Pixie pack one of these days...

New Gremlin morphs, huh? I didn't know about that. Cool.

Some more. Unfortunately I have forgotten where I've got most of these :(

Some of them are 5-6 years old.

They are - from left to right - Amphib, Hydralisk, Dragonessa, Alien, DeepOne, with Martian above them all

This is how they load, I didn't do anything to the textures.

Wow! That little horned guy goes back to the beginings of poser free things. I think he was on one of the first big freebie sites. That site had those itsy bitsy little thum nails that were so incredibly small. It was a great resource. That little horned guy is still one of my favorites.

Ooh, those are some real cool fishies, stonemason!  And that Gargoyle head is too damned good to leave unfinished, man!  I wish I could do scary, but my creatures all end up either cute or just plain weird.

RawArt ( ) posted Mon, 17 April 2006 at 8:04 AM

I would say 90% of my inventory at daz or my site (www.rawart3d.com)  is one kind of weird beasty or another...zombies, werewolves, trolls, furry things, scaley things, fleshy things, living things, unliving things, you name it ;)
