It's not as much about the forums as the ebots. please please please make the link that takes you to the thread fixed on the page so we don't have to hunt it down. it's not bolded, and when you get the ebot you've gotta look for it really carefully in order to see it. Something like: Hi, You've received this notification becaue soandso replied to the thread thisandthat. Click here to go there and read what the bloody wanker said. THanks, Renderosity so basically linebreak the link thanks, drac

Yup, IM notifications in the forums. Along with all the other stuff we used to have (server time, side bar links, etc) All that will be done. Very soon, I hope! It makes us feel a little disconnected without all that. Plus, a hassle. Line break? What's that, or what's the difference? "it's just annoying because the link is never in the same place" -I think they have been playing around with ebot wording...

What gets me (along with the idiocy of a notification for every fecking reply instead of just one since you last visited) is why they now send the ebots formatted. Since, for old fashioned security reasons, I view my emails in plain text by default, I don't see a link at all. How likely am I to bother with altering the view to HTML? Not very likely at all.

Every other forum I visit sends topic reply notifications in plain text. The useful link is obvious to see for everyone. Simple, but too easy for the strange-priority-crew at Rendo.

My policy with Rendeosity ebots is this:
1 - uncheck the notify box
2 - use message rule to divert Rendo ebots to dump folder should I forget 1 or desire ebot for archiving useful threads.

Be nice if it could also be "Open in New Tab" like so many other things in the forums are already, I just don't understand why we can't have that.  I mean if you can do it in the forums, why not in the ebots?
