nope, it still puts the hair texture on the entire figure, not just the hair. There must be some easy thing that I am missing :-) thanks so much for trying to help me though! I think I need to pour some wine and fiddle for a few hours. I just get very impatient with myself LOL.
*** I think I am getting closer. I'll post an update soon :-)
Quote - Ok, I have got everything like it looks in the picture, the trans maps are on her hair, but it still doesn't show in preview or render in with the transparency. The wine is sounding better and better LOL.
They key is like the image above. If the material (hair) is on the whole figure, it means you selected the entire figure when you applied the hair materials.
If you still haven't found the fix, shoot me an IM and I will help ya out.
But you have to just select the objects you want to apply the texture to.. you do this by holding CTRL+Left click.

Hi :-) I won Bryce over at DAZ during the raffle thing and now I am trying to teach myself to use it. I can get Poser to import into it well, but I have issues with transparency. I searched the forum and looked up tutorials, but I get kinda lost when they say plug it into B in the material editor. It ends up applying to the whole figure. (I am doing hair on V3 and yes, I selected the hair in the material editor LOL) can someone give me step by step instructions? Thanks so much!
