Hey all,

Heres something that ive been working on today, "trying to get back into the swing of things", so i thought i would post it, just to show im alive.

Also trying to get better with my UV mapping and texturing,  UV mapping is a pain in my butt!

but i think im getting the hang of it, slowly but surely...;)

will post updates as i go along, going to refine the texture and do some more detailing to it.

Wire shot,

base model is around 600 polys, subdivision level 7 is about 2.5 million.

Very very distinctive style... and excellently modeled. Not being a character modeler, my understanding of topology is very theoretical so seeing a wireframe is always a welcome thing. Thank you very much for sharing! 😄 Cheers! M

Hey Moe,

Thanks!

I usually never worry "too" much about the topology on anything i do for myself.

i just roll with it, and try not to worry much about the mesh.

im really just trying to work out and refine my texturing and UV layout with this, lol

heres an update on the texturing and displacments.

Cheers!

I have no idea why, but it seems that the stuff you do just to please yourself, tends to be the best. May be it's because you're more at ease, and the flow goes better. whatever it is, you've got a really good touch. I'd say, this is a keeper, for sure. Lou.
