I am clean as well and have installed every daz freebie  and Many of the newer daz products just today.

I also installed Hexagon as well and my system remains clean.

Exes are targeted by viri and can be infected even if you don't run them. All exes can be infected if you already have the infection on your system

I downloaded from Daz just last night and no virus.
I also downloaded Cureit last night and ran a scan today. Had one virus and one trojan but they were in the AOL commons folder which is a pre-installed progam on my new comp. Thank goodness I don't use AOL or I'd have triggered that thing. It was the WinWord bug. Shudder!
Daz sends me email but I never click the links, I just pop over  to the site and check what's new.
I've learned never, but never, to trust a clickable link.

Let me introduce you to my multiple personalities. :)

Well I've never used an email client -- strictly webmail only, and I never use p2p services or software, and don't keep a Windows address book. I have Avast! and ZoneAlarm and use Firefox with a broadband connection. I have visited Daz quite often recently, but haven't downloaded anything from them in the recent past.

In light of the current panic I ran DrWeb and found nothing. Not a thing. Totally clean.

Quote - I never use p2p services or software

so you never use, MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, ICQ, IRC chat client or any programs like them. If so then you use a p2p program..anything you can use for file transfering is a p2p program not just ones like bearshare, limewire, frostwire, bittorrent just to name a few.

I have opinions of my own -- strong opinions -- but I don't always agree with them.

No I don't use any of those, or anything like them. Like I said, I don't use p2p. If I get (web)email attachments they get virus-checked before opening.

Will Dupre just posted this at Daz:

We have just recieved word From DAZ Tech Support that they have scanned all of their systems for this threat and there is no chance that this worm is coming from any DAZ Product Installers.

That's good to know.

My idea of rebooting is kicking somebody in the butt twice!

DAZ Technical Support have confirmed that they've checked and their installers are clean.
