Subject: File converter?

ellocolobo ( ) posted Sun, 30 April 2006 at 10:31 PM · edited Wed, 05 February 2025 at 9:41 PM

I downloaded a file and tryed to open it in Easel...I got a message that said it couldn't open files that were made for Vue 3...It told me to use the converter to chnage it to a Vue 4 file first...

What converter?

On the CD there should be a PC (only) program that can convert Vue 3 stuff to Vue 4. It is a third-party program and not officially supported by E-on. But be careful, this converter is not always doing well. We have a lot of reports where it has destroyed files. So never work with the originals! The alternative is to find someone with Vue 4 (PC) to open the files and simply save them again. That is all needed really. Or maybe contact the creator if you know how and ask wether they can convert it for you.

Thanks wabe> Is it not kind of funny that they don't support the converter but tell you to use it!

Hello,  I have a question not being a VUE user. Use Hexon 2 which I just got the other day and was wondering if there is a way to convert from .VOB to either 3ds or Obj file format and keep the textures ?

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated,

Marty
