Subject: Vue 2 and Upgrades (!)

Howdy all, We are being flooded with people who are trying to upgrade from the magazine freebie of Vue 2 (Computer Arts, and 3DWorld mag), and ignoring the price list on the e-on web site. The $99 upgrade path is for Vue 2 retail boxed version owners. best regards, Lynn Fredricks e-on software US Business Unit

I understand. This week here has seen a whole new slew of new members, as a result of the same thing. Face it Lynn, Vue's taking off BIG-TIME, and you're not likely to get any rest anytime soon. ;) Any chance that the owners of the FREE version of Vue 2 will be able to upgrade to Vue 3, after Vue 4 is released? Orwould that be unfair to those who actually purchased the boxed version of Vue 2? Cheers, MIke

I'm just a little confused here.

There is quite a bit of difference between 99 and %99 Axe555 ;). I presume that there was also a special address for people to send their upgrade request to..probably the e-on address in Paris, if 3DWorld is anything to go by. martin

Duhhhhhhhhhhh, that was suppose to be "between 99 and $99". Time for bed, I think... Martin

There was in fact a Paris address to send it to. I'll probably just buy the full box of 3.1. I find it much easier to use than Bryce. I didn't think of the exchange rate on the price, thanks for bringing that to my attention! Rich

As it turns out, the conversion works out to about $145 and you're probably better off sending the cupon to the address on the offer. I'd also like to apologize to everyone for my confusion. thanks, Rich

Does anyone know what the upgrade offer given in 3D World magazine says? That's a USA mag, isn't it? Or am I confuzzled again? How many questions can a person ask all in a row? :)

3DWorldmag is in the UK, ie... England. They do things by the pound there :)

OK, I guess I was confused too--- sorry Lynn, I was under the impression that you were saying the upgrade was not an offer at all--- I was thinking about how the freebie release of Poser 3 a few months back wasn't allowing an upgrade--- at least I thought they weren't allowing an upgrade. Again, sorry if I contributed to the confusion. :)

The world is getting smaller! I wish some US graphics magazines would carry cover CDs as well -- then we might see some offers like this here (in US currency). Ill post a complete "US Conversion" after I mind meld with my colleagues in Europe (likely Monday). Just keep in mind that the offer in CA and 3DWorldMag were both for UK purchasers.
