Hi all,

I am trying hard to make a project called 'FACES OF THE GOD'. In this the main rendering & effects would be rendering would be done in Bryce. And I am stuck in a point where it need clouds to have faces, one of them being the face of the child !! BUt till now I am unsuccessful in this. My motive is to sculpt the face of the child on a sphere and then give it a cloud material and maybe some post effects like smudge or etc in photoshop.........  ...

I posted a similar msg asking for help , Gry helped me out showing out how to make the face on a terrain .But as all of you know its best making clouds or pounds of mist using spheres and then the adding volumetrics material on them, though it increases rendering time. BUt how to sculpt a face on the clouds. Gry showed me a pic made with the terrain but its not really realistic and also how to i place it as a cloud ? Thus I think doing it on a spehere is imp , but how. Brycians plaese help ............................ You can see the child`s pic and the experimental pic Gry showed me ...  We wd both wait for your reply......Plaese help

Ok Here I am . I think Wiseman posted a reply here, but I cant see it anyomre . Anyways I imported a baby head from Poser 5 as Obj into bryce. I then ungrouped it and while I made the face positive and eyes negative. I applied a cloud volumetric material and after lots of pain of rendering here what I got . I also did some postwork at PS7 with the main image as transparency map with lots of highstrength Smudging , as Grylin suggested . : )

BUt as you see I also have a shadow with it . Anyone knows how to get rid of the shadow ?? also pls anyone have any better idea of this whole process.  Agentsmith told he wd mail on his comments !! Grylin , if this is ok ............ truely U r the only inspiration I had !! Believe me ....... let me know. ..................... Super Brycians pls let us know of your views of making this faced cloud from the pic...........

More post needed on the above but I spent about 15 min on it.  I merged it into an existing file of sky comprised on background photo and about three of four spheres of volume clouds set further and further fm camera.

Face is lattice fm photo with simple cloud mat sunk into one of the volume clouds and some gaussion blur in post.

With more time it could look better.

Suggestion:

It might be easier to model a face using metaballs then apply the cloud material to it!

Go download  "Rocky the RubberMan Figure"  at:

http://colacola.se/expo_rocky.htm

to see how a toon character was made completely out of metaballs to see what I mean!
