Subject: pboost problem

wotdoin ( ) posted Sat, 06 May 2006 at 11:50 PM · edited Sun, 26 January 2025 at 9:50 PM

I created a login for the pboost fourm site but it just brings up a blank page so I am hoping someone here can help me. I got the newest version of Pboost and installed it and the old one has been deleted out of the registry but I can't seem to switch banks more than one time before it locks all my folders (I have Poser 4 with the update patch).

I have a new computer with 512 memory and all the latest drivers etc. I am wondering if somehow I have my computer set to keep the folders on read only even though I have gone in there and manually removed the check mark for read only (I have windows xp). Has anyone else had this problem?  Is there a way to change the read only files and would that help? I know pboost did that already but they are still checked. I did send a message to Hogsoft but got no answer.

I am hoping someone can help because its a real drag to save everything and close it down just to restart to change banks..

Thanks,
Debbie

Have you run a Correct Reference on your Runtime lately?

Faulty references will make PBooost lock up (actually it's a windows problem, not a PBooost problem, but you notice it with PBooost)

CorrectReference is free in the basic version. From Hogwarden as well :o)

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

I could not find correct reference in the Pboost menus, I did make it search for problem folders and it says they are fine, but then I use it once or twice and the lock wizard shows all the folders locked. I really like this program but I am getting ready to just return to the old version.

Thanks for your help.

Correct Reference is another program, it's not in PBooost as such (though I believe it's in the Hub somewhere)

Correct Reference can be downloaded for free on Hogwarden's site or here in Free Stuff :o)

thanks, I sent an email to hogsoft and hopefully he will answer sometime as I can't seem to get into his forums, so will try the correct reference as well. Thanks for the link!
