Subject: Buxom and Voluptupous morphs for V3RR?

bagoas ( ) posted Sat, 13 May 2006 at 2:07 AM · edited Thu, 28 November 2024 at 11:38 PM

My PC is not that high capacity and especially during posing and getting the light right the poly count is not that important so a figure with lower poly count nicely makes my work faster, so I purchased the RR version of V3. When really required for close-ups I can swap the figure for 'real' V3 for the final render.

Now what surprised me was that the RR version lacks a number of morphs respective to the full pack. I do understand this for the 'detail' face morphs, (eye wrinkles, gums) because that's what comes with a lower poly count. That gential crease and nipple morphs are missing makes me lift an eyebrow, but it is not that bad. What is more inconveinient is that  'Buxom' and 'Voluptuous' morphs are missing.

There is a nipple morph in the free stuffs all right. But what about the 'big' FBM's. Do you know of any place where to find those, or at least an approximation?

Back in the days of Poser 4 there was huge support for morphs for the P4 figures. But Daz has so discouraged this with the latest figures that third party support has dried up almost completely.

However, a lot can be done with magnets. See the picture I posted in the recent thread of "female realism", which shows V3RR with both nipples and mons made from a few magnets. It wouldn't surprise me if some of the magnet packs marketed for V3 also work with V3RR but I haven't tried.

I believe you could try willdial's Ultimate Breasts magnets in "Free Stuff" I am not sure if the morphs will work but the magnets are awesome. Also, he has them set up so you can apply them to the clothes. If they are too big for you to start out with, apply them, go into the "prop" (magnets are props) and scale down the magnets, (not the zone).

   Hope this helps.

Thank you. I know how to use magnets, make morphs, etc.

The point is that if I want V3RR to 'stand in' for 'real' V3, the morphs should be identical as far as practicable. I believe they are, for the greater part except for a few details that are easily made up for, or not really relevant. Besides, for the small scale morphs it need not be exactly sililar to the effect on 'real'V3. The two 'large' morphs however affect the fit of clothes. I can sit down and make my own Buxom and Voluptuous such as to 'fill' the morphed clothes, but I just wondered if someone more skilled in this particular form art had not already done this.

Then we are down to the first problem, that people are afraid to distribute morphs for Daz figures these days.

there's 2 sets of them I know of..the aforementioned Willdials' 'ultimate breasts', and boobrepli's 'plastic surgery' that's up to about version 3, last I looked. I've used the first once (as a joke, he made 1 too many references to zepplins..;), seemed to work ok. I know that willdial's has morphs for several models, but I don't remember if Vickie RR was one.

I wish I'd said that.. The Staircase Wit

@ Phantast: I agree. IHMO DAZ is shooting in it's own foot there with their vague legal threats. And, I do not understand the background either. The V3RR package contains some pretty odd morphs that are quite complex but hardly useful. Yet, thw buxom and voluptupus morphs are used frequently, but not included.

@pakled: I found Willdials' magnet packs all right and with a litle work they indeed do the trick, be it at some more effort.

If you want the morphs for free, export the morphed OBj from D|S, divide it in parts and import it in Poser. With D|S you get the V3RR with all morphs.

Well that's really weird. Why are there different morphs for the two programs?

bagoas ( ) posted Sun, 14 May 2006 at 5:30 AM

Sorry Jules. Unless they changed it since two weeks ago, V3 RR LE as comes with DAZStudio just has 'Skinny', 'Rubenesque', and a few limb stretch FBM's. I came from there for this project (D|S is target application for the model).

DAZ is clever enough not to let such holes in their shopfront.
