a few of you knew from the past how much I've been wanting to go to the Renaissance Festival, well, i finally got to go to the Texas Scarborough Fair near Dallas last weekend :D totally luved it!!! ..even hubby tolerated it well, thanks to the lowcut bodices ;]

here are a few images from the event-
(one was of Penna's carillon (bells), posted earlier to a recent Simon Says thread)

the main image (left-click) is still terribly compressed due to the restricted 200k,
would've posted them individually, but didn't want to drag it out,
still good enough to see what can be done with backgrounds & composition

ttfn! :0))))

Yes...Always a good time.... especially after downin' a few pints of meade!   (HEHE)

That guys "stache" is somethin' else and I really  like the damsel playing the harp.

Thx for sharin'

Thanks cyn, now I've got Simon & G music in my head. Get it out! Get it out! ;^P I used to work at Ren fairs at a booth of a friend of mine, and used to be part of a fantasy roleplaying group that would dress up and go camping and stay in-character for most of the time. Yes, I guess that is uber geeky, but we had fun and got to wear elf ears, lol. So thanks for the trip down mammary...oops, MEMORY lane Cyn. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself, they can be lots of fun...and you do start talking like that after a while, heheheheh.

TwoPynts ( ) posted Thu, 18 May 2006 at 7:55 AM

Yeah, that is the other fun thing about the ren fairs... the same people work most of them and travel around the country. So chances are you'll see the same people at a fair in CA, TX or FL! It was certainly the case with the harpist above! =]
