I was looking around the NewTek site (ive been drooling over lightwave) and i found this animation which inspired me to try and make somthing like it in Carrara. At first i was thinking i would have it spell out my name in neat cursive. But when i got into carrara and started messin around, i ran into a few of carrara's weak points. The problem was, when your animating a spline object, you cant animate the creation of points on a sweep path. The best I could do was make a rigid figure and makes a few 90 angles throughout the animation. I also realized that making it actually spell out somthing would take weeks and making the line curve would be quite impossible. Ok, now that you know the story, heres my attempt. Im pleased with it :). Izuel

I get an error when trying to run your "attempt" from the media player. (too tired to look at what might be causing the trouble... will try again tomorrow maybe)

I tried multiple times to view your animation. I think the problem is tripod. I also use tripod...if more than 2 or 3 people try to view the animation it wont download anymore. They are afraid you may use to much bandwith or something. Hopefully around midnight tonight I'll get my chance to view it :)
