first off you can purchase 3d models of cities in different formats it just depends on what you are looking for in that city. look on the market place here or on 3dcommune.com, daz3d.com or even turbosquid.com
I don't think you can use the files from MS flight sim in bryce as the format isn't one bryce can use.I'm sure if you look in the free stuff on here or 3dcommune you could find models of river boats. I know they had one for sale at daz3d a while back but not sure now.
I have opinions of my own -- strong
opinions -- but I don't always agree with them.
Sorry to say no, but no you can't use MSFS files. MS Flight Simulator scenery files are really HTML programing that is compiled into .bgl files. All the objects are just macros that are called opon when the scenery demands (runs the macro) when your aircraft flies over it. There is no 3d objects involved in scenery. The aircraft that are used in the simulator are 3d and they are converted into a .mdl files.
Thnaks for the great help. Looks like I will have to build it myself after a extensive look for stuff to start with. Now the big question is what program to do it in? I am looking to create a river city with 15 steamboats on the water with various water, air and sun effects. Any suggestions? Thank you for helping me. I am doing this as part of the big Tall Stacks Celebrsation in Cinnnati, Ohio. I am a painter who wants to generate the scene I want to paint from life first in 3D.
Thanks for your help. Tom

I have to build Cincinnati, Ohio in 3D and was wondering if I could use the files in Microsoft Flight Simulator 98 as a starting point. What I want to do is create 15 riverboats to float on the Ohio River. Maybe I could use the build new plane aspect of MFS to build boats instead of planes. Can you purchase a city in 3D? Thanks for replying, Tom
