Is it possible to set up the message centre the way it was before?  Keep the new looks and functionatily cause it's great!  But I miss the "User has received your message" prompts.

I liked the fact that I could send something to someone and I knew I sent it to the right person (user name) cause it would tell me when they got it.

Which brings me to my next question.. what happened to the very easy to find "send message to "user name"" option?  And the easy find user home pages?  I remember being able to just click on someone's user name and be brought to their home page, where, I could then message them.  Now what I find I have to do is visit my "own" home page, and then subsitute my user name in the URL for their user name, to be brought to their home page.

Hi,

Now instead of getting another IM saying so and so has read your message you can see if you look in your sent mail that when the person reads you message, the checkmark appears and the date and time read appears in the next column..So its still lets you know, it just works differently.

Also as for the send message to and all that from the homepage and other places, this will all be working correctly once the entire site is converted over to the PHP platform.  I know its inconvenient at the moment but since we are in the middle of conversion, for a bit some things aren't functioning.  It will be better once all is done, I promise:)

Yay!!!  Glad things are moving along, and towards a better language (PHP) I know a little bit.. but not enough to do what you all do here!  Yikes!  I leave all the programming to my programmer hubby.  Or as I like to call him "my geek"  tee hee!

Sorry to interrupt, but White_Wolf had a point with finding members homepage easear (or at least find them...).

And when we find a member homepage and click the "send IM" and use internal mail don't get the error:

"mysql error: You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '???' at line 1, occured in query: "select username from member where userid = ???"."
