"what is the difference between Terragen and Vue"?
Terragen = "Terrain Generator". It does just that. It creates terrains. It does it very well. And it can also create water & skies. But it has very limited support of adding anything else to those terrains (unless it's been remarkably updated since I last looked). If all you want to do is create "vistas", then Terragen is probably the way to go (it's also a lot cheaper than Vue, IIRC, there are free versions of it available. Haven't looked for quite a while).
Vue allows you to create terrains (possibly not quite so well as terragen, and probably with somewhat more difficulty), but then allows you to add trees, plants, rocks (and edit them) and other stuff (including cubes and other primatives which can be combined in various ways to create, for example, buildings) with which to create complete scenes.
Vue can import files from 3D modellers or other object providers (eg Poser) which allows you to to add items such as figures to your scene (if you have the relevant extra software).
Vue is NOT cheap...
Does that help?
Cheers,
Diolma

Hi I am just getting into 3D creating. I am only use to PSP9 where I have been creation stationery for over 3 or 4 years. I would like any opinions or suggestions on the following question please. "what is the difference between Terragen and Vue"?? Many thanks in advance.
