THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: The very, very basics of Bryce 5.5...

Aeternitatis ( ) posted Sat, 20 May 2006 at 5:37 PM · edited Mon, 25 November 2024 at 1:50 PM

First off, let me say that this is quite the website...

Does anyone have a link to an extremely basic Bryce tutorial? I've been fooling around with Terragen for the last few weeks and have a good understanding of it, so I figured I would take the plunge and get myself Bryce 5.5 (which in hindsight was probably not a good idea).

Anyway, now that I have it, I find myself completely inept and just hitting buttons, so I am wondering if anyone has some really basic tutorials on Bryce 5.5...

Thanks in advance,

Somebody needs to tell AgentSmith or Zhann to get to making a sticky where people can link Bryce tutorials.
(Maybe I just did? Didn't I?)  There are plenty of fine tutorials for all levels of Brycing to go around, but we do need a spot to collect links.

It definitely would have the answers for this particular question, which is probably posted for the eleventy thousandth time. (As they usually get pushed down the board and lost.)

I'll throw in some links that are "hidden" in the header a little bit (they fall under that Bryce links HQ thingy), that couldn't hurt any.

I was actually really surprised there wasn't already a thread for that... :)

I figured there would be tons of threads concerning tutorials for it, I just figured it would be worth it to ask, maybe PM one of the mods and have them sticky this thread, and post as many links as possible on it.

If you've never used Bryce before the best tutorials I have come across  are these

http://www.robinwood.com/Catalog/Technical/BryceTuts/BryceTutSet.html

They start from basics  and progress step-by-step. They are very easy to follow, and I have found them invaluable.

Another good one for beginners is

http://www.mulawa.net/bryce/index.html

When you're more familiar with the program  you might like to check out this link which has a large list of tutorial links, very varied. Haven't checked them all out myself, but you may find something interesting

Don't forget also that you can ask for help/advice here at the forums too. Happy Brycing 😄

Personally I prefer the hit the button method. It is amazing what you discover sometimes.
