Subject: Flipping Layers?

How do you flip one layer only without affecting the rest of the layers or the background?

I'm trying to follow a tutorial (finally found one on creating scifi walls, right from creating the dirty wall to begin with.)

It's here: http://67.15.36.49/team/Tutorials/texture_katherine_dinger/dirty_texture02.asp)

but it says "flip the layer" - of course it doesn't say how to do this in the help - I've just spent another wasted couple of hours trying to find out how to flip a layer - without success....

Someone pu-lease, help me?

You can simply do an Edit > Transform > Flip Horizontal/Vertical. Or hit Ctrl-T while on the layer.

Oh brilliant!  Hey I've just been sadly browsing through the forum after posting my plea - thinking "I'll just take a look around before going offline" and I noticed that this thread had a reply... and wow I have the answer to my question just a few minutes after asking it!

It just shows that the mechanics of the forum may now be all cobbled up, but the people here are still amazing.

Especially YOU aprilgem, thanks a million - and I do mean REALLY thanks!

No problem. :) It's my pleasure.
