I wonder how you make transparent hair for the poser hair object that ar with Poser 4 when you get it? I tried the Tutorials on Digital Babes but i cant get it to work as it should be? can anyone help? //DE

The problem is that the hir that comes with Poser was never intended for a transparency mapping, it is not really the right kind of mesh and most of them are mapped in a way that is hard to understand, as well as make a transmap for. The only one that I've seen that worked well was the one Allie did for the long conforming curls. PS: Allie, come back, we miss you!

I agree with Jim's opinion too. And...I think the only way is...remaping a geometory file of the Poser hair. Here is a result of my quick test. :-) --- Kozaburo

Jim, I agree with you--Allie come back. I wish someone would be in touch with her, but I've lost my email addies for her. She always brought a new perspective to things and was a great texture creator. Kozaburo, as always, makes a very difficult thing look supremely easy S. Diane

You could use the Poser group editor to set a bunch of new materials on the .obj file, export that, then use the materials to help re-map the hair. -Trav
