"What 3D Program Should I buy?" Not one person here can really tell you what's best for you, as everyone has their own taste in workflow. Try the demo or learning edition of the program you're interested in, this is the only way to find out which programs you like.
I'm going to try to upload the picture again, but if it doesn't upload, I managed to post it here:

Thanks for the suggestion! I tried it out in poser, experimenting with various weld tolerances, even regrouping the thumb 2 group (the group that just doesn't want to move) with thumb 1 and welding it and, when that didn't work, regrouping it with thumb 3, then welding it, but it still misbehaves. Is there some other way to weld/attach the misbehaving group other than through the group tool?
Thank you for your help and any future advice!

Well, somone from another forum was able to figure out what I needed to do in Poser. Apparently, I had to adjust the size and placement of the red and green circles that show up when I open the joint parameter window. So that's what that thing is for! Thank you all for your help! It was greatly appreciated!

Hello,
I'm fairly new to modeling, and was trying my hand at creating some armor for Aiko 3. Everything seemed to be going along just fine; I finished the model, imported it back into Poser 5, went to the settup room and grouped everything nicely to the bone structure (I borrowed the bone structure from the gloves from the Idol Dress), there were no breaks or tears when I posed parts of the hand, and then I decided to pose the thumb, and something really weird happened. I've attached a picture of it. All the other fingers work just fine. It's only the thumb I'm having problems with. I thought I simply grouped the parts incorrectly, and tried several group combos, but I still can't seem to get the thumb to cooperate. What am I doing wrong? What am I missing?
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
TheKeeper
