Subject: Terrain changes

Hi all,

i have a little irritating problem!

When i load a material on my producal terrein this happen (photo, terrain changes)

It's very irritating, can someone tell me what is happening here?

I think this is a bug or bad design, but a simple solution is to hit no to the pop up that asks if you want vue to put nodes on the terrain. When procedural are 1st generated the mapping cordinates sometimes are World Standard and sometimes are Parametric, so hitting yes to the pop up sometimes is the solution to keeping the terrain the same and sometimes hitting no may work. Expermint with it. For me, I use standard terrains more often because these lame quirks are not there at all and there is more control that is easier to access.

Most likely you are switching mapping modes when you apply the texture.  If you know what material you are going to use, switch mapping modes to match the texture before you start editing the terrain. 

I aviod answering yes when Vue asks if you want to adjust the nodes to match - it makes for a messy and slow rendering terrain.
