I've been rendering this character, who will remain nameless, and something seemed "off" but I couldn't quite figure it out.  Take a look at the eyes here... one is selected and the other is hovered over.  They're very far back, maybe an inch poser-scale, from where they should be.

When I select the eye and the pull or translate in/out tool, it moves the head around and the eye rotates at strange angles, but it never gets closer to the eye lids.

Any ideas what I need to do?  Renders look OK from far away but look like crap up close.

Thanks!

Are you using the axis dials to move your eyes? I may be completely wrong but,  the head is moving maybe because the eyes are parented to the head (or vise versa). If you parent-none the eyes could this help to move them while leaving the head alone? Just an uneducated guess.

perhaps once you tell 'em which character it is, they'll be able to tell you what to do, e.g. unlock the eyes, move 'em with the z-trans dial, etc.

Using the Translate tools on the eyes (or any other body part) is not a good idea. Have you tried selecting an eye and usung the zTran dial in the paramiters pallet?

Good call with the Z-tran.  Worked perfectly.
