here is a testrender i did with it in bryce.
for
some free stuff i made
and
for almost daily fotos
I've bought it and love it. My landscapes have really come to life now. I'm working on something that is mostly created with GeoControl at the moment. Hope to finish it by the end of the week so will post it here.
I do find it slow but my system is rather old and low spec now... two years old. Painting with the brush sometimes gives odd square marks, it's not quite as smooth as using the Bryce Terrain Editor but that's more than made up for in the stunning realisim you do get and the problems can usually be undone.
The seamless option is not as good looking as using tiled terrains in Bryce. I currently have two sets of four terrains and I had to position the camera carefully and modify them in the Bryce Terrain editor to get them to look a bit less repetative.
Despite any small comments like that though, I think it's well worth the money. I've been frustrated for a long time that nothing I did made my landscapes quite have that 'real' feel and this has been the tool that I've been waiting for.
GeoControl has it's own forum set up so hope to see people talking more there about fine tuning the effects as I feel there is a lot to learn in it.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I think I'll be buying it.
Kathye, a quick question for you (or anyone that can answer it:)) When I've imported a terrain into Bryce (demo) I don't like the corners of the terrain - they're very square and seem to stick up. Is there an easy way to solve this, or is it just a case of increasing the scale and then lowering the terrain so this is hidden by the ground plane?.
Two possibilities I can think of and I used a combination of both. One is to gently touch on the guassian edges in the Bryce terrain editor until you've faded them enough to hide in the ground. The other is to use the 'seamless' option and tile them off the screen. Mostly I went for the latter because it fitted with what I'm trying to do for this current image but I can imagine there will be situations where that just won't work well.

Ok.. I said I'd post when I'd finished this image. It took me longer than I thought to complete and I still hestitated to post as it didn't turn out as I hoped. Still, I learned from it and even with my errors I think the GeoControl terrains are better than ones I've made previously in Bryce.(Sackrat, if you view this again... LOVE your avatar ;) )
I've bought it and it's great. Creating the terrains is soooo much easier than in Bryce and they import just fine. Brilliant piece of software in my opinion. Very user friendly and easy to learn.
@ Zahnn Sorry to her things haven't turned much better for you.
I bought it. I does some really awsome terrains.
@104 Have you tried building a terrain fm scratch? Use brush to level out a generated terrain then use brush to start to heighten where you want it. (ps. be prepared to give away another chunk of time just playing with that. It is addictive. )
skiwillgee - I've sorted out the problem I posted above. I was moving the wrong slider when the terrain is in Bryce. Thanks for the tip though

I've tried the demo for GeoControl and really like it - so easy to use and the terrains export well into Bryce. I was just wondering if anyone else has tried/bought it. I'm seriously thinking of buying it, but would like to get other opinions/notes on problems etc before I shell out my hard earned cash for yet another piece of software (lol).
