Lens/exposure effects! (Anything that can be done in camera using lens/exposure)

This is a zoomie (don’t know the technical term)

5 second capture zooming during exposure.

Just wanted to find something different to do for a Simon

They wouldn’t have made the cane if you weren’t meant to break the rules

wowww oldworld, ilike this capture with a sublim color.

This style of photo is very good of night, but with a sun is very difficult because you need to move youself:lol: and playing with the larger exposure, as objects move in a scene over time an image of that scene must represent an integration of all positions of a camera's viewpoint and object positions over the period of exposure determined by the shutter speed, like my first post here... I remember my first reportage with the firemen (there are photos in this forum, but i don't remember the date).

You can visit this links for a very good explanation for thsi photo style.

I had this one in my 'rosity folder and don't remember if posted sometime or not.  Anyway, it is called "Vertigo".   This is a very uncomfortable thing and the image bothers me since having an attack of vertigo one evening and not knowing what it was and it would pass.

Brilliant Simon Simon. I really like all these shots. I have yet to try out that zoom-effect myself. Think i´ll have a go at that today....as soon as i wake up...yawn. I´ll post something more common regarding long exposure-effects instead. 😄

How come we say 'It's colder than hell outside' when isn't it realistically always colder than hell since hell is supposed to be fire and brimstone?

Neat work here, like Joe's ghostly monitor, I thought about trying that, but figured I had to find a use for all the ex flashgun batteries lol

I le the bird zoomie Valou, neat work.

The vertigo one is neat too and lovely waterfall too, good selection for this "me"

Now all I need is for the fog to lift so I can go out and play.

1st one looks like you zoomed in steps or used a strobe flash.. otherwise you would not see several sharp but ghostly images.

Simon_P ( ) posted Mon, 12 June 2006 at 4:01 PM

I done a couple that were zoomed in stages, but it didn’t really work.

This was a slow continuous zoom, although I doubt that absolutely constant throughout the exposure, no flash at all just available light.
