Is it just me or have all the gallery view counts disappeared?

Please read the information in the Front Page article I posted yesterday. This will let you know of any weirdness you may see this week due to the upcoming gallery conversion.

Not just view counts but also whether or not the images have been commented on! I'm sure it'll work out eventually.

Yes Mmizrael that is correct:)  I have touched on everything going on for the moment in the Front Page article including comment count..

(& i'm really not trying to stir up trouble or rain on anyone's fun here)

but when I had posted a "web funny" like these way back in the photo forum
i was told by admin it was not allowed & we've kept from doing it ever since -

"Do not use items found on the Internet. Many items may state free to use, but that does not give permission to redistribute in any form--even just small pieces." -copyright policy

& that this applied to the forums too.. so in all fairness & to keep from promoting double standards what's the call on this practice now?.. just out of curiousity ;]

You need to contact copyrights@renderosity.com if you have a questions or complaint. Or post in the copyright forum.    I thought I understood that you had been advised by staff on the correct venue to use for a copyright question or complaint. If not, then please use the information I have stated to get the answer.

  1. I'm not sure what admin you're refering to here, but it wasn't me (copyright agent) so I'm not sure you received completely accurate info back then.

  2. Are you assuming these images are copyright violations?

  3. If you are the copyright holder, or have proof that the images posted are copyright violations, please email copyrights@renderosity.com so that our copyright team can review your copyright complaint and take action as needed.

  4. The part of the copyright policy you are referrence is refering mainly to things being redistributed in the Marketplace or FreeStuff and is not considering the "Fair Use" allowance in the US Copyright policy.

I will not allow this thread to turn into a copyright debate, and your inquiry really should not have been posted here. Rather an email to copyrights or post in the copyright forum would have been a LOT more appropriate.

Could anyone in this thread that posted images without ownership or permission please remove those images?   Your assistance in this issue is greatly appreciated.

nope.  it's long since the "edit post" window has passed.  an admin would have to do it for me.

BTW-  I love this fun, light-hearted thread without anyone complaining (ok, almost no complaining) so I wanted to contribute my own personal image.  It is my cat, Allister (we call her Allie for short) when she was a kitten--nearly two years ago now.

Sorry, I couldn't think of any cute sayings to make it fit good with your thread, but funny just the same.  She used to crawl into my boots all the time.  Now, I'm not sure her tail would barely fit.

They say animals take after their owners...well, these images prove it.  Allie has a full blown shoe fetish, just let me  :laugh:

I too would gladly do so, but as I pointed out, I am a mere mortal not a site admin, and for me, the "edit post" window has long since passed...  a site admin will have to remove the image from my first post in this thread.
