Subject: Geoforge - new feature-packed morphing terrains!

cyllan ( ) posted Sat, 10 June 2006 at 5:47 PM · edited Thu, 28 November 2024 at 5:54 PM

Geoforge is now available exclusively from Netherworks.

This is a feature-packed terrain set that will give you incredible terrains without overloading your system - and it works with P4, PP, DS or P5+. New features include:

  • Injection morphs - Only load the morphs you want
  • Tile terrain textures as you work from a parameter dial. No more fuzzy, blurry foregrounds to spoil your renders! No more tweaking tiling in the material room! Not just for P5ers - works with P4 and PP too.
  • Small object files let you load several for realistic and varied terrains without dragging your processor to a halt.
  • Massively scaleable - use for sweeping vistas or for closeups of those CP/DAZ bugs on a tiny patch of ground.
  • Circular shape - no more strange corners peeking out behind your mountains.
  • Easily expandable, but the Geoforge starts out with
  • 79 morphs for everything from rolling hills through craggy mountains to slightly rough ground. Mix several morphs to get entirely new effects
  • 42 photographic textures

And last but not least: It's on sale all this month for 28% off the normal price

Thanks for the product.Nice one, especially for mat texture tilling by dial and for the excellent water textures.Suggestions:more morphs for changing the circular form of the ground shape

For inside Poser environment and for the price ,it a good one

Here a test with RDNA pines

I'm glad you like the package, martial, and that's a great picture. The Geoforge is circular cos it goes with the Biosphere, about which there'll be more in a minute, and because the annoying frequency of stray corners on the horizon was one of the things I wanted to improve about the Terraformers.  One day the Terraformers might get an update for tiling though. Eventually

The Biosphere is a companion product to the Geoforge. Although it is standalone in it's own right, it is sized so that your Geoforge terrain can drop neatly into it. Scale it up for scenery panoramas - scale it down and you can pop in some fish and stand it on Vicky's desk.

The Biosphere gives you three separate background models:

  •  a sphere/skydome, that comes with a glass texture, for use as a tank, five photographic cloud scenes and five artistic cloud scenes.
  • A cylindrical tank/wrap-round panorama. This includes a morph to curve in the base, and a parameter dial to change the mapping. In default mode your texture will wrap right round for a panorama, but with a dial twist you can use all you texture on an area at the back, so if you just need to see a section you don't need to waste your memory holding a texture that's mostly unused. With the tank you get a glass texture, sky panorama (for panorama mode) plus six photographic and five artistic backdrops for use in partial mode. For use as a tank you get a handy plinth (which also fits the globe) and matching tank collar, with four texture options.
  • A flat background plane, with morphs to curve in the base or apply a gentle curve to the whole plane. The flat plane uses the same maps as the cylindrical tank in the non-panorama mode.

It comes with handy scaling poses, utility poses to hide the front of the tank or globe for ease of working, and MAT poses for P4, PP and P5+.

The Biosphere is compatible with all versions of Poser above 4.01 and DAZ Studio, and is suitable for both Mac and Windows users.

The Biosphere was used in all the Geoforge promotional renders to provide the skies and backdrops; similarly in the following pictures any ground terrain shown is the Geoforge.

And the Biosphere's on sale all this month at 33% off!

Bonjour

The picture was just a testing one(tiling ,mat morphs),not acheiving one.I have used Dome sky from Microcosme Dna .But now i have seen your Biosphere and i will check it.Thanks for innovatives products.I have Vue infinite for landscapes creation but sometime i want  to acheive an image  completely inside Poser.I have used all environnement systems i have seen at Daz ,Runtime DNA,now at Netherworks ,and others

Bonjour,  Martial!

I use Bryce a lot for landscape pictures, but it's kind of an obsssion to be able to do good landscapes in Poser. Close-up Vicki faces get boring after a while, no matter how photoreal they are :) Glad you like the Geoforge. It would be really nice to see some more of your pictures, either here or we've got some galleries over at Netherworks. I really like seeing art people make with my products, but most of the time I never get to see it!
