THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: Possibly my last

Ok WTF happened to being able to delete a post? Besides being able to do it within a 15 min time frame?. Would someone please drop me a line when all this crap with the new look is fixed. They've switched the weird entry page with one that's a psuedo front page but still isn't the real thing. I no longer have any idea where I might see any IM's I may get. I'm tired of all this messed up change.
Xenic, Phil, Kitty any of you guys have my email? Could you let me know if rosity ever gets back to reasonable again. Cripes this sucks.

(yeah maybe its just PMS, but I'm stressed to the max in real life right now and just can't deal with this crap here)
HUGS everybody. (I'll probably be back before anyone notices me gone)

skiwillgee ( ) posted Fri, 16 June 2006 at 10:33 PM

yes, I know this is a free site, but it makes money to pay for those servers and programers via marketplace and advertising, I assume.   I am not angry,  I am frustrated.

Ang25,  can I hang out with you while this fiasco is sorted out.  I'm old, ugly, broke.

I think the higher ups a r'osity was sold a bill of goods by some marketing wiz kid stating, .  "oh yeah, we will come in with my team, progam all the changes, speed things up, improve the looks, and it will be a painless, turnkey, transparent process.  System will be down for a couple hours only.  Please sign the dotted line ladys and gentlemen.  Thank you here's you free golden goose for early signing and excuse me while I duck out, i mean, got to another appointment."

Above was not fair.  I know all are working hard.  I'm just sad.

Ang:

Scroll up to the top of the page. Click on "site mail". If the scroll box says "inbox" click on "go".

It might not work, but I think that's where your mail (instant messaging) is supposed to be.

i don't understand why they made all these changes in the first place the site was working fine  the way it was it takes forever to get into gallery and the contest area and i'm on adsl and they say it will be faster bull cr*p i think the owner of this site who decided to make these changes should of consulted all the members first to get our imput they would of found out that making these changes would be a big problem in the long run i say put things back the way things were everybody was a lot happer thennow i'm only speaking for myself but i'm sure there are some people that feel the same way as i do.

Sorry guys, I'm just not able to take these changes. Rosity just isn't working for me anymore. I wasn't going to come back even to look, but I'm glad I did. Thanks for caring and say don't go. If anyone wants to talk to me my email is Angela252 at gmail.com . I'd say I'm gonna miss it here, but I already do because it isn't anywhere near what it used to be and I've tried to see the positive changes but so far my vision must be really bad, cause no ones given me anything to work with. Ok so the new gallery thing is supposed to be better, but I want a decent forum setting. Everything has become "one extra click" for me and I'm just sick and tired of the new and improved version.
So anyone who wants me to know what they say will have to email me. I'm not coming back here, for a long time.
Hugs
ps glad to see the "challenge link's been fixed" :P

I am leaving this site for now, perhaps for good.

I can't stand the stress anymore of trying to deal with the changes here, the colors and the fonts I can't read etc. For the foreseeable future I will be using the galleries at the web site that hosts all my freebies:

Oh dear, Ive not been here for some time, mainly because eye probs mean I cant look at a screen for more than about ten minutes, but I thought Id look up a few old friends today. And what do I find? Theyve bloody gorn and changed it all again. Havent had time to explore too deeply but the changes Ive seen are not impressive.

And worse, people are leaving because of it, even my old mate Ang, (or AgentSmith, as she`s now called, apparently) This is a real shame. I may not be able to produce anything anymore but I still regard this site and the people on it with affection.

Maybe its just teething problems and itll all work out. Anyway, back to the reason I came on here.

HI, GUYS

Incarnadine ( ) posted Mon, 19 June 2006 at 7:40 PM

to be honest, after cut/paste PJFs CSS settings into the gallery "My Options", everything became so much better.  No more one-more-clicks there. The forums work for me with a bit of CSS cut/paste and the site mail is so much easier to keep track of the back and forth in a conversation with now.

C'mon back Ang - it's teething problems

You know? We really ought to gave a go at Bondware. Someone needs their butt kicking. I know this is a free site but if Bondware is losing advertising revenue because peps ain't seeing and buying, they gonna be hurting soon with peps leaving and all.

Come along Ang, you can sit right alongside of me on this wagon. I seldom come in here anymore because of the same reasons. Unfortunately there are those here that feel that as long as their stuff works fine for them, the rest of us can go to hell (it's that hurrah for me and screw everyone else mentality). Among all the change problems the site is experiencing, it is the only PHP site I know of that crashes my system while using MSN Explorer. I understand that people on AOL are also having problems. I don't want to hear the crap that I should change my browser or my OS. There simply is no reason to make any changes in anyone's configuration when all other PHP sites work just fine as is. It's a pity that a site that worked fine before went from good to worst over night. Yeah, I hope it's teething pains but the chances that this site will ever recover to at least where it was before being tampered with might just take a couple of years of teething. Ang, you know where to reach me and I'll speak to you Saturday night as always.

In fact it's worse than that. I used to think of this place as home. Now I feel I'm being evicted bit by bit. I used to get up, grab some coffee, log on and read what's been happening here. Now I get up, grab some coffee and suddenly I feel like I have nowhere to go. There's no fun here anymore, no spontineity. Damn it! I don't even get e-bots.

If I could find another forum that loves Bryce as much as this one I'd up-sticks in a New York minute. But the for the moment I'm out on the street looking for lodgings.

I hate that I  have to view this forum through IE6 and get derisory comments when I mention AOL. I happen to like AOL. They've treated me right for the entire time I've been on line. Does anyone know of another ISP that handed out FREE broadband upgrades for Christmas? Does anyone know of another ISP that reacts INSTANTLY when you make a complaint?

You regulars (no disresect to the newbies) know that this has been my virtual home for years and that you are my virtual family.   But my family is being broken apart by the stupidity and incompetance of people who won't listen and never come down here to explain themselves. Yes, I know it's a free site, but that doesn't mean they can screw around with with our lives and not give a f**k.

My son created a PHP site recently. When it went 'live' he had NO problems with it, nil, nada, zilch, bugger-all, and nor did anyone else. What went wrong here? Jeez! I can't even upload a render these days.

Anyway, my bags are packed. I'm looking for lodgings. All reasonable offers considered.

Being an old fart, I am constantly reminded by my kids and younger generation that these aren't my good ole days.  That said, I think the evolving changes a this site have indeed gone backwards in more cases than forwards.  Yes, AgentSmith pointed out the need for patience; but, the change-over process seems to be a very, very wip.

This being a free site is not completely a correct description.  Someone is paying those programmers and buying those servers.  Who is paying?  Vendors, the buyers (portion of purchase price is gleaned by R'osity) , advertisers. This is a business.  And business is not fairing so well with the changes.  The ripple effect will eventually be heard in the pocketbooks.  I've notice about a 50% decrease in surfers on line at gallery and forum.  Lose of surfers will result in loss of  purchases and loss of revenue.  Believe me nothing is free.

I hate seeing everyone I've come to respect leave.  I'll stick around.  I'm just that way.  I hate changing.  I even hate the fact that I'm responding to this thread.  "What do you mean, Willie?"  This reply will move this thread back to the top of the list, that's why.  New format doesn't let threads die peacefully.

Do you think a peaceful, very civilized, well thought out survey of suggestions would be in order ?

CrazyDawg ( ) posted Fri, 23 June 2006 at 11:53 PM

Well long time all, i'm am right behind those that are leaving the site because of the mess its become since the changes were made. Here is one that i only just found out that annoyed the crap out of me with the galleries, try doing a search for an image using a key word for the search and see how it pans out.

Anyway no more from me on this matter as i have really got no reason to be here other than to see how you are all doing with your art.

Take care all might see you on the otherside of the wormhole one day

I have opinions of my own -- strong opinions -- but I don't always agree with them.

Angella if you go I won't have any reason to come here, apart from making sure Bryster is behaving himself. 8(

Did you get the last IM I sent you, it as a couple of weeks ago, the site was being unpredictable at the time, like not posting to forums, but I thought you must get my IM because it's always worked in the past

Tell me if you didn't, of course that depends on the site actully doing what it's supposed to do.
