I saw that it is for the poser 6 people, but could it work for the unimesh people like Vicki 3, Mike 3, Aiko 3, and the rest of the bunch?

In the add it says for the most popular figures. Surely the mil figures are the most popular. So I want to know too, will there by mil figure support. Love esther

At Content Paradise the description states these models.
James, Jessi, Miki, and Terai Yuki, plus VF models Andrea and Bruce.

You have to register and activate the software at another site and their terms say for personal, non-commercial use only. It looks like E-Frontier partnered with them to add the ability to create Poser clothing. I emailed E-Frontier to ask about the terms of the eula for the version they are selling.

The flash demos at the very bottom of the page look decent.

But wait... from the looks of it - you could use Jessie to model the item of cloth - but then apply it to V3 in poser.... right?

It's very interesting... but i would like to know some feedback from user.

It certainly looks like an easy way to make your own dynamic clothing - and fun too! I'm concerned though about the eula - and something in there made it look like this wouldn't be able to be shared (even freebies, non-commercially) unless others also had the program - something about having to use a certain in-house pose for the P6 pose room and garment, clothifying it to that pose before posing for the dynamic bit. (Which might also make it difficult to change characters, since Vicki presumably wouldn't have that pose.

So, from what I see, for personal creativity and just the fun of it - yes, could be worth it. Making your own clothes = buying less elsewhere, plus the pleasure of creating for yourself. Not cheap, but worth it in the long run. But not what I would call a merchant resource, if that is what one is looking for.

I just want to be clearer on the reestrictions, and now more specifically who the clothes will fit after. What figures are included (why wasn't koji mentioned? and will this work with the upcoming Gen 2 figures?)

BTW, what is VF and who are Bruce and Andrea?

I contacted Content Paradise to ask about the eula. Here are the answeres.

Q: Can items created be given as freebies or sold as commercial clothing props?

A: Here is the official word. It does not prohibit the sale of garments or models
    created with VF.

Q: Does the license expire after 1 year as seems to state on the Virtual-Fashions website?

A: There is no Time Limit to the License for use of the Program. That is Official...
     This is not Official, but I believe the 1 year is for the Free Upgrades. If you read the Product  License in combination with that statement that seems to be what they are implying. It is their limit  of the Support for the Program.

In answer to Jeff's question above:
Does dynamic cloth made for Jessie work on V3?

I took a dress I created for Jessie and tested it on V3, bu it did not calculate and drape properly.
There was a lot of poke through even after the calculation.

I'm wondering if there are some extra add-ons planned, due to the fact that it is called VF "basic" - sure sounds like maybe they will be adding modules, perhaps for other characters?

I was surprised to hear about the commercual use clause - but wondering if the VF "pose" needs to be distributed with any of the givaways /sales. They seemed to emphasize that as a necessary element when dressing your character in Poser.

Regardless, I'm not a merchant at the moment, though I do make freebies. Whether I use this for that is not really important. I think it's a pretty good deal just for personal use, and the sheer fun of making your own styles.

Lol, once this has had time to sell and people to learn it, EF should have a VF Fashion Show where people can show off what they have created.

The 2 new figures are NOT Poser figures. They come with the program for DEMO purposes and are not made by EF. They CANNOT be used outside VF for Poser, just ignore them. It should be made moer clear in the product description. :rolleyes:

there's a lot of things that should be more clear. I think it's really bad that they referred to james etc as the most popular poser figures. Well maybe they mean figures that come with poser. Love esther

"VF is Windows only. There are no plans to produce a Mac version" (from e-frontier) It looks that since the release of the MacIntels, which can theoretically run any Windows apps, we will see less and less Mac versions from software developers.

This is one of those products that seemed like a great idea.... until I finished reading the description. My main objection is the lack of a Mac version, which probably has more to do with the fact that outside of the UK and France, the rest of Europe (developers in Spain) is on Windows...... I guess most of the world is not quite ready to see the light. What I am dying to know is how much money they paid for "market research" only to find out that the Asian girls most of us didn't know existed and the ugly cavemen included with poser 6 were the most popular figures..... GO FIGURE! Being a Fashion Designer by trade, this could have been the answer to my prayers for the last 3 years, but I can't justify paying the price - ability to use Daz figures + the repulsive idea of having to install windows on my Mac (if it works at all) No, thanx! I'll have to pass on this one and wait for a Mac equivalent.
