Subject: Slightly O/T - anyone had problems paying at CP?

tastiger ( ) posted Fri, 23 June 2006 at 12:49 AM · edited Mon, 20 January 2025 at 3:46 PM

Has anyone else had an issue trying to pay with their overseas card at CP?

If so how did you resolve it?

Seems the system doesn't like certain bank names or phone numbers - it's very frustrating....

Make sure you are at the right site. I had problems last year trying to use my credit card there and it turns out that I had stumbled onto their production site, and not the actual public site.

Tas, just a heads up, but those pictures in your signature must be in your cache file if you're seeing them because I'm not seeing them on my end and reloading them doesn't work so I'm guessing they aren't online where you think they are.

Contact their support and they'll probably be able to help you. I don't remember the details but I had problems the first time I shopped there. Their support helped me out and now it works fine. I'm in Sweden. Generally speaking I sometimes have problems filling out forms with telephone numbers. Trying different versions of the country number usually fixes it. If 0046 doesn't work I try ++46 or x46 etc

I just had problems trying to download the free stingray - freebies go through the checkout process in the same way. I reported it, so when they fight their way out from under the big pile of e-mails they should fix it... :)

Some people really want to like eF and support them.

It's a tough love, when they frequently seem to continure to shoot themselves in the foot.

One can only hope that they can eventually get it together and reduce these all to frequent faux pas on thier part.
