deadman,

There are many negative aspects to drugs not the least of which is a lowered immunity system. A friend of mine died  a year back due to complications related to cancer treatment resulting in his  no longer beaing able to fight off a breathing disorder which ended up hospitalizing and killing him. If he had not been smoking three packs of cigarettes a day,  eating only meat and drinking a case of beer or more a day he might have been able to fight off what I suspect was emphysema.

Although I still drink, smoke and eat meat I try to moderate such activity.  Many people can't do this and for them the best solution is to give it up addictive substances whether drugs or alcohol entirely.

I know how hard it can be to give up something like that but having seen the effects of prolonged usage (I could site many examples of the affects of both drug and alcohol  addiction)  I cogratulate your fortitude!

You have a right to be proud,
-TJ

Well Done

It is never easy giving up drugs you have done really well

i gave up the drugs about 15 years ago and my life is better for it

may your 3D graphics be all the better for it.

Hey, that's cool man, keep up the good work!

I guess I'm guilty of drinking some every now and then, but I do stay away from the drugs.

Congratulations and very well deserved! having had a few alcoholics in the family and a few friends spiral in on hard drugs, I want to state that this is an accomplishment you have every right to be proud of!

Pass no temptation lightly by, for one never knows when it may pass again!

Excellent work deadman67. Quitting drugs isn't easy and takes much strength. Glad to hear that you were strong enough and have remained strong.
