If you are using Windows XP and have the Framework 2 installed, then i made an application that could do this really easily and all automatically (or nearly automatic). It's part of my application, called ShaderWorks. It's the Runtime Organizer module.
Very useful looking app! Anything to speed the process up! Thanks for the link! Looks stupendously useful. It will work on Poser 6? Yes?

From reading through the descriptions of each bit it is actually designed for P6 - for instance the MAT file batch conversions are to P6 format.
Bookmarking this baby and I'm going to grab it when i get home - my Runtimes are disgustingly overstretched and there is a lot of garbage in them where I haven;t got rid of everything when I've done an uninstall.

I'm looking for a utility that functions similar to Wolfie's Poser Extractor (www.wolfiesden.com/poser/utilities.asp) that works reliably with poser 5.
The situation: I have been using poser 5 for ages. My runtime is huge. I have installed things and then decided I didn't like them, and then removed as many of the files as I found at the time - but after several years, there are tons of no-longer used files and folders in my geometries/textures/etc folders - and I no longer have the original installation exe/zip files for some of it. (I didn't understand the importance of organization when I was young to poser!)
I'm looking for a way to extract only the files I need for the content I actually want to keep, into nice neat little folders so I can both back it up and move it to a nice fresh installation of poser that I'm planning. And of course, so I can get back all that harddrive space being eaten up by now-useless textures and geometries.
I realize that I CAN do this by hand - and I will if I have no choice - but with thousands and thousands of files in my runtime, I'd really really like to find a program that can help speed up the task.
