Subject: OT: Firefox Issues

I tried using the Firefox browser for a few weeks to see what I thought. I did not like it at all, downloads never worked, etc. etc. Anyway, I uninstalled it, and now when I click on a link in Outlook Express, it won't open. Does anyone know how to fix this?

you need to make outlook your main email client. I have used Moxilla for 2 years without issues. the downloads always works and mozilla has no holes like  IE

In Internet Explorer, click on Tools...Internet Options...then click on the Programs tab.  Select your program preferences there.

Outlook is still my main email client, it never changed. All I changed was my broweser to firefox, and when I deleted that program links no longer worked from OE. My IE settings are just as they should be; email set to OE etc I even restored my system to see if I could click on links then, but nope.  Any other ideas? :-)  10 years on the computer and I have never had this problem before LOL.

What error do you get?  Or do you even get an error?  Have you tried shift-clicking on the links?

EDIT: Or is that ctrl-click?  Can't remember.

Nope, no errors. It does nothing. I have tried clicking, right clicking, and even copy and paste on links in OE, but I can't copy & paste any links that are say imbedded in an image (like the Rosity newsletter has sometimes) and I don't want to copy and paste anyway, before firefox %^%*&% everything up, it all worked just fine. Click, it opened. I am kicking myself for messing with it LOL.

Well as a "Firefox" rookie and a "Thunderbird" newbee this ole fart ain't goin' back. My DLs rock but isn't that a provider issue?  And even to my bad eyes FF is faster loading. Hate to hear that. Maybe something else happened during install/uninstall ??? SS

'm no guru, but have some guesses maybe worth trying:
(a) Is there a firefox add-in for OE still installed?
(b) Has IE been reset as the default Browser?  It wont hurt
    to redo it manually.
(c)  Is the FILE ASSOCIALTIONwith htm files reset to IE?
[ find any htm file on C:, right click, slsect "choose program", pick IE form list,
and finally check the box called "always use this program..."
