Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 08 9:27 am)
Morgano: As far as I understand it (and I could well be wrong, but here goes)...
Poser uses a "cross-platform" core. This is so that it can work on both Windows (PC) and Unix (Mac). Unfortunately, because of the different ways these two operating systems work, this can result in some undesirable side-effects. One of those side-effects seems to be (in Windows) that when you click on a menu item (or something similar), unless you are very quick to release the mouse button the click also gets transmitted to the underlying window (the main Poser interface). Which can often result in something you don't want getting selected. Other (similar) effects also happen.
Hope that explains why the problem happens, but if there's a work-around to stop it it happening, I for one, would be very happy to hear of it
Until then, I'll just have to go on re-selecting the bit I do want to work on (in Windows)..
Cheers,
Diolma

I was wondering why the colour editing tool in the P6 Pose Room kept getting selected, since I virtually never use it. I know that pressing the "C" key will select it, but that didn't seem to be the explanation. Then I realised that the Windows Start key did the same thing. Does anyone know of a way to disable this, please? (Getting a Mac may be a bit too drastic ;=) .)
