Subject: Looking for a young morph for V3 or SP3

Neyjour ( ) posted Sat, 24 June 2006 at 7:54 PM · edited Sun, 22 December 2024 at 8:17 PM

I'm looking for a young head/body morph (with textures would be great as well) for V3 or SP3, but preferably V3.  She needs to look about 12 or 13 years of age and flat chested, or close to it.  What products would you guys suggest I look at?

TIA!
Ney

Why not just use Millennium Girls?

I looked at Laura but I don't like her default face, so that would mean having to buy the morphs as well.  Plus, this character I want to do is a one-time thing.  I never use children in my images and don't plan to in the future, so that's all too expensive for something I'll probably never use again.

I'd much rather buy something that I can afford that is for a figure I already own.

You could use v2 if you have it, it has young face morphs and flat chest morphs.

I do have V2 but I was hoping to use one of the V3 skin texs I already have, or that the character package I purchased would come with a really nice quality/realistic skin tex.  What little I have for V2 is not that great.

I could look for a realistic skin tex for V2 I suppose,  but again, I don't want to spend money on something I'll probably never use again.  And I really have no interest in V2.  V3 and SP3 are the only female figures I want to invest in right now.

Are there no young morphs at all for V3 and/or SP3?  :crying:

Ahh!  Okay, I knew there had to be something out there!  😄

For anyone else that might be looking for the same thing, Thorne and sarsa have several young character packages for both V3 and SP3!

Decisions, decisions.

I might wait until tomorrow to purchase anything, so on the odd chance that anyone knows of any others, please let me know ASAP.

I was just coming back to suggest you check their stores :)   Most character addons for V3 and SP3 are ummm, rather "mature".   I'd go with something for SP3 rather than Vicky.  I think SP3 would be more believable as a 12 year old than her counterpart Vicky.

Yes, I think you're right!  I'm probably going to go with Miri for SP3.  She has a very sweet young face, and the chest size is just about right for what I had in mind for this character.  I also really love the skin texture and overall body shape.  😄

There is also a V3 character called "Niko". We have it here; but I didn't download it so I can't help you. I do know it was free and it looks like a skinny twelve-thirteen year old: long legs, arms, out of proportion.
I can also tell you that it either came from faeriewylde (forums?), Rosity, RDNA or Poserpros. I guess it was the first.

edit:

wrong! I did a google search and got this:

$2.95

you may also want to check the Peaches" character, also by faerieguild. same price.

I have tried prudent planning long enough. From now I'll be mad. (Rumi)

Yes, she looks like she could pass as a young teen. I guess their nudity policy isn't the same as this site.  There is no way that figure would have been allowed to be displayed in all her naked glory.

Morph dials and Inj files? I mean what is the use if having em if you don't use them? I am sure with a little time you could come up with something you're looking for by just a few turns of the dial and a few INJ poses. I mean that's my advice then you wouldn't have to spend any money at all. It's all right there at your finger tips

Take a look at Neyjour's gallery and you'll see that it is not a beginner's work.
Many people (me included) buy characters and start tweaking them afterwards to get a personal shape. Or combine/edit texturemaps.

Indeed, you can start from scratch, but sometimes it's more fun to start from something existing. You can go on foot to, say, Paris or you can take a plane and save your feet for the streets and boulevards of that city. And still decide your own parcours.

I ended up buying Miri late last night, but thank you Aeneas!  Niko and Peaches are both very pretty characters.  The body shapes would have worked well for what I'm doing, but to me, their faces don't look quite as young as Miri's.  There must be more young character packages out there somewhere, but anyway, I'm very happy with my purchase.  😄

Gongyla, I couldn't agree more!  😄 Morphing a character from scratch is not an easy thing and can be very time consuming.  I've only attempted it a few times in the past (a couple of those I've offered as freebies and they are far from perfect) and it's a project all in itself.  I have a character for SP3 that I've been working on for several months now and I still can't get the face just right!  I'd much rather use an existing morph (and maybe tweak a few things here and there) and just jump right in to actually creating the image I have in mind.  Poser is mostly a hobby for me, a way to relax, de-stress and have fun creating.  Morphing from scratch does not do that for me.  I find it extremely frustrating.

Agreed it is more fun to do something relaxing than getting frustrated. I myself have tried too many times on creating things only to become frustrated and give up never trying again...LOL! I am so glad you found what you needed!!!

Thanks!  Miri is a wonderful character!  I'm glad I found her.  She worked out extremely well for my image!  😄
