I saw this over at Cornicopia and was wondering who is using it, how difficult it is to use and what is the overall benefit of using it?  Which models does it work with successfully?

I use it occasionally. It's very simple to use, but you can dig into it to do more complicated stuff.

It makes very convincing skin mats out of the texture loaded with the character; this is great for close-ups, probably a waste of time for figures in the distance.

It works with all millenium figures from Daz, and there's an additional plug-in (at extra cost) for Jessie, James etc

So, does it enrich the colors?  Make it more realistic looking?

I bought it a coupla days ago but haven't tried it yet!

I use it and not just for close up figures.

It can really reduce the memory used by Poser characters which is a big plus.  I'm finding more and more that I'm not bothering applying any textures in Poser just dropping the figure into Vue and using SkinVue2.

I just recently aquired it, and I can say Dave Burdick did a marvelous job!!! The manual is clear and has numerous and wonderful examples.

It's clear Dave's not only a master of the function editor AND Python scripting, but he's also great at productizing. The combination of features, website, demos and tutorials makes for a very compelling offer.

Being able to apply algorithmically-based skin textures saves TONS of memory in Vue and adds to the realism of renderings. Also, with SkinVue, comes a number of preset scenes and atmospheres (I didn't know) which are great studies in themselves in constructing realistic renderings.

If you're a serious Poser and Vue artist, this plugin is a 'MUST HAVE!'

it is excellnt for mid to close poser views. i use it for every poser figure i place in vue - the great beauty to me is that you can use the base textures you have aquired in poser so you can have all the variation you like with the special characteristics (notice my complete lack of technical knowledge) that dave's script provides look at my gallery if you like to see the effect almost everything done in vue has skinvue2 applied and besides dave is a really nice guy who works hard and does great work
