Subject: MAT Pose Utility that can make relative Paths

JenniSjoberg ( ) posted Mon, 01 May 2006 at 10:41 PM · edited Fri, 22 November 2024 at 3:44 PM

What I absolutely hate the most atm is having to manually edit all filepaths changing the stupid /'s to :'s.

Is there already a utility out there that does this? if so I must have missed it. I think alot of merchants would be VERY interested in something like this.

Any takers? ;)

not your point, i realise, but in the interum, can't you just use Search/Replace within a text editor?  if nothing else, it should speed things up a bit over scrolling down gobs of text cutting/pasting manually, yes?

Jenni,

The above link is the program I was advised to get.  It's a bit more expensive than the one RichardT suggested. Not sure how much difference there is in the programs, though. I still have it on my wishlist and haven't been able to try it yet.. grin

CorrectReference Pro by hogsoft will do the job. The free version will fix the texture references, the pro version will also fix the .obj references and lots more. I've found it to be a lifesaver on multiple occasions.

The pen is mightier than the sword. But if you literally want to have some impact, use a typewriter

I let QuickMat do the nasty work ;o)  http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?ViewProduct=32964
It's a very handy tool that saves the matfile directly from the textured figure. You're able to edit what should be included and what not, the script does the rest. It renders a thumbnail if you like although I prefer rendering them myself in better quality. But however, the quick thumb gives you an idea what the matpose does.

I'm not always right, but my mistakes are more interesting!

And I am not strange, I am Limited Edition!
