My attempt at macro photography. Shot outdoors with a lively little creature that constantly tried to scuttle away. What's amazing is how shallow DOF is with the lens (Olympus macro 35mm/3.5. 70mm equivalent). About a centimetre, even with F8 used on this photo. You can imagine the difficulties with focusing something that's constantly moving. And I *paid* for shooting this. Oh, how I paid. About 15-20 mosquito bites on each leg. :-/

An addition... this is one of not completely successful photos. I found a dead ...horsefly, I guess. You can see it's a bit bigger than the frog. And it's not one of the big horseflies. I first saw the frogs ten days ago when I was walking in the park with my girlfriend. I noticed something moving along the trail, but at a glance it looked like tiny grasshoppers and I ignored them until my girlfriend looked closer and told me it was frogs. I only had a 40-150mm zoom with the minimum focusing distance of 1.5m and the photos didn't come out very good. So I got back there yesterday with a macro lens.
