Especially like the very well described lighting info. It's one of the most important things to learn in 3D art, and so much to learn from professional artists and studio photographers. I would advise anyone to go to the library and check out books by great commercial illustrators and photographers of the 1930's-1950's... Varian's technical lighting (color temperature, etc.) info is extremely valuable to help applying this knowledge in Vue scenes...
Shucks, Fox. There's a lot more to understanding lighting than the bits I wrote about, but you're right that it's pretty important in 3D work. The lighting can make or break a good image. Thanks muchly for the comments! LOL! You got it, Twin! I saw Vue's so-called "marble" material used once too often in the galleries, so I figured it was past time for some decent marble. While researching how it really looks, I couldn't resist including some of the great limestone and granite I came across, too. And it's all procedural, and looks terrific -- if I dare say so myself. I'm pretty happy with 'em. :) All right, Diana! You got those glasses on just in time! :D
