THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: Time to Submit Your SIGGRAPH Images!!!!

jelisa ( ) posted Wed, 05 July 2006 at 11:41 AM · edited Mon, 03 February 2025 at 6:07 PM

Should fit on 8.5x11 inch photo paper (can be smaller or larger as long as proportions are right and they can be resized up or down if needed)

Landscape or portrait

150-200 dpi

Doesn't have to be a new image

You can add your name and e-mail address or web url

Doesn't have to be pure Bryce and can have post-work added

Must be rendered in Bryce - any version

Send as many images as you want, but no guarantee it will be chosen (am paying for this out of my own pocket so I can only choose as many as I can print until my ink runs out)

BMP or TIFF is preferred, JPEG accepted - no compression

Must be received by July 21, 2006

Send to riggsd@daz3d.com

200dpi image at about 8x10 in. is about 1600 x 2000 pixels, which translates to about a 3 to 4 MB jpeg image at highest quality setting.  TIFF is even larger.  That's a really tough upload for non-broadband users, if even possible.(sob... cry... sob... cry)

Well, we can try a smaller dpi and see how it works. I wouldn't think less than 100 dpi would be good though.

about 1280x960 pixels wide will usually just about work for a print on A4 though 1600 or higher is perferable. 800x600 is gunna produce seriously visible pixelation.
