Attached Link: low prices

Has anyone bought from usaphotonation.com? they're selling 30d's and the D200 for under $1000 US. :woot:

Question the question. Answer the question. Question the answer...

I wish I knew what I was gonna say :oP

Looks almost too good to be true....a 5D for $2049, D2X for $2189, D70 for $399...plus free shipping...

I have no experience with them...

The funny thing is that their lens prices are almost the same as everyone else...so...something doesn't look quite right.....

Let me know how you make out.....if they're OK....I'm getting a D2X.

visit  http://www.resellerratings.com  to check out what others think of this company. It's not very pretty. I personally would not buy from them EVER.

Thanks for posting that Fuzzy. Thus the old adage, "If something seems too good to be true, it probably is." :sneaky:

Amazing that this company still exists. I checked prices on an Olympus E500, with which I am very familiar. I have one, and the hospital for which I work just purchased me another one.

The price on this website for the body only, no lens, was about $75 cheaper than I've seen everywhere else. But, get this: the E500 with the kit lens (14-45 mm, which is usually makes the camera package about $100 more than the camera alone) is almost $100 CHEAPER, an all-time low price like I've never seen, about $529. That's about $160 less than the lowest deal I've seen.

NO WAY. Huh uh. This is absolutely bogus. Those reviews of this company are priceless, indeed. I did not see even one moderately satisfied customer. This dealer is toxic. :)

Unfortunately the Internet makes it easy for a company to hide behind a website with a certain amount of anonymity. In fact what many unreputable companies will do is open up an internet shop and run it until word gets around about their bad practices. They then close the website down, and just open up another one with a different name and look. It's been going on for years.

The problem with this site (and there are dozens of other camera sites in NYC that do the same...) is that they lure you in with a low body price. If they really do ship you the body at that price, it's a gray-market camera with no manufacturer's warranty and probably has no battery, charger, video cable, or even the manual that would normally come with the camera if you bought it legitimately.

Fact of the matter is, high-pressure rude salespeople will try to get you to buy an extra $1500 worth of stuff when you call and some go as far as charging you for one brand and then send you something much cheaper.

Sure, you can sue them or bring a complaint before the NY better business bureau or something. Good luck with that. Meanwhile you're out your money.

One trick I saw a lot was to offer package deals with "Professional" lenses. Heh, guess what you get? Lenses that make Sigma look like gold. You also see a lot of adds for free 4gb or 6gb "high-speed" CF memory with the package. Guess what, they're CF II harddrives! Have fun trying to use THOSE with your digital camera. :)
