As several people have been asking about this, here`s a current look at my new character, still incomplete. She should be in the store by early next week. Clothing is by the ingenious chromecafe ;-)

Really fantastic. I'm glad you and Chrome kept her so very authentic. I am personally tired of all these goofy fantasy Asian characters that mix Japanese-Chinese-Martial Arts RPG Game characters together... The Japanese have some really great UNIQUE textile designs that they wore (and still wear in traditional tea ceremonies). Hopefully someone will make some MORE for her that are Authentically Japanese. A nice Tea Ceremony set would be nice, a Sake set, and also a Kanji-writing set so she can write some beautiful Haiku poems... She's definately on my To Buy list...

Another good reference site about Geishas. Someone also needs to make a Shamisen for her to play while entertaining clients...

Here's a great link to other Kimono designs. Maybe they will give some more ideas to others who would want to make authenic Kimono's for the Shikomi-chan character...

We will need a tatami mat, too. :) There was an exhibition recently of treasures of the Edo Period with makeup cases and games and tea sets and musical instruments. Lovely accessories for a lovely lady? Many thanks, Carolly

Your Geisha is awesome! I look forward to her debut in The Marketplace! And if you know of sources for clothes and props for her, please share that information. I lived in Japan for 1.5 years many moons ago and fell in love with it. I'm ready to buy just about any model of Classical Japanese reference be it Geisha, (conforming) kimono, shamisen, hair, etc. etc. Weapons only if they are unique: there are already a lot of ninja weapons and swords available. Keep up the great work! bit
