Subject: Where can I find water for Poser?

Chippsyann ( ) posted Mon, 10 July 2006 at 11:49 AM · edited Tue, 24 December 2024 at 7:16 PM

Is there a good water prop for making lakes or oceans with-in Poser?

“Something that really looks like water.”

Or maybe a tutorial that shows how to create real looking bodies of water?

I've been seeing these great looking pictures with water in them and I'd like to know how they are being created.

(Buy, Create or Freebie, it doesn't matter)

Why not just use the square prop and add some reflection and refraction?

Here is how to set it up in the material room.  For ripples just create an image map of ripple in a paint program and then attach it to your diplacement connection. When you render make sure raytracing is checked on.

Not every one has a material's room, and Chippsyann has yet to say what version of Poser she's using.

If you want to use a commercial product, there are models of water in the Marketplace.

Forester has several packages with 3DS models which you can import into Poser.  There are a couple of water texture packages in the Marketplace, too.
