Subject: finding members web pages

picnic ( ) posted Mon, 23 August 1999 at 3:39 PM · edited Thu, 25 July 2024 at 3:39 PM

There have been a number of times I would really have liked to visit a member's web page, but found it rather difficult to locate. I realize Robert Whisnant and others have the list of the web ring members and some have included a 'link' to their page through the member log, but I just feel sure there are some other pages out there that I haven't figured out how to access. I've also heard that some are asked not to post their pages for various reasons, which I understand also. However, just seems to me that it would be great to have a listing on someone's page of anyone who would like to have their page visited by some of us and aren't part of the web ring and don't necessarily have downloads either. I'd like to see what everyone else is doing with Poser. Diane

That's why we have the web ring - you can see a variety of work by cruising the ring.

Yes, I know there is the web ring-I've found sites through it-and they are all listed on Robert's site also, but there are other sites that belong to non-web ring members that I would like to be able to locate also-I don't think everyone is a member of the web ring, are they? For instance, I don't think Spike is a member of the ring. There are times, after seeing a post by someone, that I think I would like to see more of their work and can't locate them easily. Diane

I'd be happy to make the additions to my site, all I need is the webmaster's name & url. I have been a little heasitant to post the "erotic" site urls due to constraints by my isp. But, provided there is some kind of "wall" or disclaimer prior to the gallery that contains them, and they are not blatant ponography, I'll figure out a way to post them too. -Robert

Also, All members can add the link to their web site my editing My Home Page on the panel here.

I'd like to suggest that they do make that link. I'm not interested in the 'erotic' sites per se, but guess maybe some have those as part of their sites. Its just that I see somebody's image (Spike, Mike, Fauve, oh--Darhorn today, and don't know how to find them-well, I haven't looked for Darhorn's site yet, but that was just another example). So--all you members out there that haven't posted your web pages on the My Home Page-please, please do or send the info to Robert. There are a number of us that are interested (smile). Diane

Just realized that Darhorn even included a link in that post-so, that's how observant I am sometimes (but I was so blinded by that good looking man, I missed everything else). Diane

Hi, Diane! I'm not too hard to find... fauve@fauve.com is at www.fauve.com ;-> (Actually, the 3D stuff is at http://www.fauve.com/digitalwork .) -Nemo

Thanks Nemo. I enjoyed looking at your page just now. Your sketch render was the first sketch render I saw on this forum for P4 and I've liked your work ever since. Diane
