Subject: Which V3 do you prefer to use?

I was looking at the size of V3SAE which has a higher poly count than Sr2. So given this what V3 to you prefer to use out of the two? And I'm asking about V3 here not Miki, not Aiko, not sp3 or whatever other humanoid female figure that maybe out there. I ask this because I wonder if the higher poly count SAE is worth it. Besides some built in morphs and the scaling of teh arms and hands what else has been added to her?

Thanks,
Micheál

I have SAE. I didn't know there was a difference.

Oh yes there is a difference Acadia. V3 SAE has eye, expression, mouth, etc. morphs built into her along with morphs in the neck and spandex settings as well. Also you can scale the hands and palms on SAE. V3 sr.2 does not have all these morphs installed on her which makes her have a smaller poly count.

I just want to know if SAE is a better version of V3?

I´ve both in my library but I use SAE per 98%. SAE is doing better with hands and is more modern.

Are you sure you aren't meaning that the CR2s are different ?

SAE had a lot of head morphs included in the CR2 hence the difference in size.
The OBJ file hasn't changed between SR1 and SAE.

The poly count hasn’t changed, only the size of the Cr2 due to the added morphs and hand scaling.

If there were a change in the number of polygons, none of the original morphs would work.

The hand scaling is nice, but if the added morphs bother you, just remove them in a text editor or MorphMananger.

Is V3SAE better than V3sr2?

Well V3sr2 doesn’t have the hand scaling, so you be the judge.

Yes,  I do mean the size of the CR2s between SR2 and SAE.

I use mostly SAE because of the convenience of having the expression morphs preloaded - also there are a couple that aren't in the original morph pack. If you apply an expression that was made using SAE to an older version you get an error message (the expression still works OK).

However, I do also use the RR version quite a bit, and occasionally a version that Arduino remapped (Tiziana).

For me it depends on the scene and what I have to do. If I have to change the hand size then I use SAE. Otherwise I normally use the SR2 version since it is less resource intensive.

Injustice will be avenged.

argh, i wish they would label RR clearly as 'NOT COMPATIBLE WITH V3 MORPHS'.
ive had about half a dozen customer service issues lately where a customer was emailing me that they couldnt get my morphs to work, after a lot of troubleshooting i find out that the .obj they are using is the v3rr one...
grumbles

i dont blame the customers at all, but it is daz's fault that there arent giant flashing neon letters saying that the product will not work with V3 morphs... customers do not necessarily know that if a single vertice in the mesh is changed then any morphs for that mesh will be broken. rr has half the vertices of V3.
