Subject: Mermaid Character

Hi Poser Crew,

I'm looking for a mermaid character and was just wondering which one to buy. There seems to be quite a few. I want it to be as realistic as possible, and I need to have good control over the tail. If you've created a mermaid pic yourself I'd greatly appreciate any advice.

Many thanks.

daz has a realistic one for v3

and dacort has one .

there are also many tails out there for other characters

check rdna.

most can be fitted and parented to other figures.

I've always favored the dolpin-tail type mermaid, not the snake tail kind.  ;-)

All of mine are dedicated CR2s, not a conforming clothing tail.

I still like the one at Rdna by Traveler the best. And in another image here- http://www.runtimedna.com/news.php?viewStory=475&cache_id=11957

I like the conforming mertail at DAZ.

Has anyone used Wardrobe Wizard to convert these conforming tails to other figures? I would certainly add them to my wish list if I could get them to fite other characters!

I never tried WW with them.  I have used them with other figures just parenting them.  Just make the legs invisible.

I also have Dacorts and really love the options for changing the style of the tale.

I've created one for Terai Yuki. And any one with my modeling tutorial will have one for Posette with instructions on how to make her.

Hi I have used the WW to convert dacort's mertail for V3 to fit Aiko3 - no problem (ok I had to it in 2-3 tries, since that was my first use of WW :)) Anyway it looks good. (pic will be posted as soon Poser stops rendering an image I'm working on)

I have most mertails out there and I love them all, haven't done much images with them, but I still love them. But those with most poseable tails are;  (no specific order)

RDNA's mertails

dacort's Aquamarine

DaZ's LostRealms
