Subject: SWAT for V3

mdiramali ( ) posted Tue, 18 July 2006 at 7:20 AM · edited Mon, 18 November 2024 at 3:28 PM

I tried everything to download SWAT for V3 but I can't download it. I tried from out of University too but it is not a firewall problem I think. I wrote a message to creator for help but he didn't answer to me for 2 weeks. There can be any solution? I need SWAT for V3 very much. For example can someone download it and send to my e-mail? My e-mail is mdiramali@gmail.com. I will be very happy when I saw it in my computer. Please help.

Attached Link: Planet Vixens

Have you tried direct from his site in the freebie section? I have never had a problem downloading there. I am sure it is against her terms of use to have someone else email it to you.

Yup just re-downloaded and re-installed so I could read the tos...have you tried a different browser? Sometimes if I switch it helps.

Unless stated otherwise, as a Buyer, you may use this product for all your personal and commercial images/artworks/animations but you may not re-sell or re-distribute the original meshes/package whether in whole or in part.

You may not store or share this package on a network or on the Internet where it may be downloaded by a third party or the public.

Sometimes you need to select SAVE and download the zip to your desktop, not open it from the website.

Have you got a mac or a PC. sometimes it can be tricky to download his stuff on a mac. It's an exe and has it's own installer. Love esther

you may try right-clicking on the icon and selecting 'save target as', or 'save link as' , depending on your browser. I downloaded it from Mozilla, with no problems
www.mozilla.org (I think), a search will bring it up.

I'm on a Mac and have never gotten replies to my emails about the switch to .exe installers. Is there any way to load these into a Mac? It's too bad that they have decided to freeze out the Mac people.

Self extracting archives can be opened as if they were zip files if you have the right software, but I have no idea if such programs are available for the Mac. It's very useful to be able to do this, as often one wants to access just one or two files from the archive, and one doesn't want the originator's choice of directory names either.

Alladin made a version that would unrar rar's (is that a word?), Zip is 20 years old; there should be something out there that does it. You might want to check the web site, or Mr. Harkonen (..;) hisself to see if you can just get the files..

Part of the problem is that the Daz exe files at least are NOT a self extracting archive but instead an application installer.

I didnt have a problem with the swat set , but if the download keeps getting interrupted try something like start downloader.   This utility will resume an interupted download. easy to use , just copy the download link and paste into star downloader.

I've emailed Harkonen several times and he's never replied. I'm a tad pissed that I can't update all the stuff I've already bought from him, and that he's never bothered to answer my emails.

Hmm you're right about the Daz files - I hadn't actually tried them before.

hi mikes, just download the .exe files on a pc at your work or at friend's house then install into a folder called BVH stuff on the pc then copy the folder onto a usb flash drive then just install it into your runtime in the standard way. love esther PS it's not that he doesn't want to support mac - it's just he doesn't know how.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm afraid it's not terribly viable. He used to make his work available for Mac when it was posted here. I'd be glad to assist him, but he never bothered replying. Figuring out where to put the files is not rocket science--Mac people have always done it. Installers are not necessary or always desirable.
