you use the water plane, pick the water you want then raise it above the camera.

I have opinions of my own -- strong opinions -- but I don't always agree with them.

Or you can just use a murky greenish sky and fog settings to match.

Attached Link: Creating Underwater Effects

Well for all those who want to know there's a whole load of info at the link above.

Someone was asking about AS's underwater image and he gave a method, and someone IM'd me about something to do with underwater, so I gave one of my methods too.  So there's a good deal in that thread.

Ignore the haddock bashing at the bottom of page one and continue on to page 2 - there's more info in there...

Hey Fran - thank you for posting the link to creating underwater scenes. I make my living as a musician and have been using Bryce for about two years.  Which really means I know next to nothing - but I just want to learn more and keep growing.

Your underwater scenes are just sublime.

I think you might be confusing Agent Smith's scenes with mine.  His are certainly sublime... Mine?  Well mine need a lot of work.  Enjoy the methods, I love playing around with stuff like that.

'CONFUSED. THE NATURAL STATE."

I would love to see that on a number plate.

FranOnTheEdge ( ) posted Thu, 17 August 2006 at 12:27 PM

Oh yeah...

Would that be "Confused of Kansas"?

Imagine trying to explain that you're from Confused, "yeah it's between Essex and Kent",

or, "Yeah, it's next to Connecticut," or

"I come from the City of Bafflement, in the state of Confused."

Sounds about right to me.

Thanks Neocosmos. Yeah, I play a little 5-string bass and sing a bit in a blues/rock trio. It's the trad arrangement, guitar, drums, and bass. We now call ourselves Meantime3. We used to be a quartet but the other guitarist, writer of many of our originals and founder of the band died about a year back. We're still dedicated to playing the music, so we've carried on. I want to add some new original tunes to our lineup as well, and that great line we both quoted seems like an excellent starter for a song.  I've used Bryce to design our last 5 demo and limited release CD covers and have to recommend it for ease of use, and the intuitive way it allows you to express your visual ideas. May you live long, and prosper as well. BTW, what do you play?

😄

neocosmos ( ) posted Mon, 21 August 2006 at 12:08 AM

Hey Danamo - nice to hear from you mate - I play keyboard and guitars (elec accoustic and gut stringer and also write and produce my originals here in the land downunder. Mainly Rock for want of a better word but have also done ads and jingles and some documentary soundtracks as well. It's great to meet a fellow musician. Live Long and Prosper.

Oh sure, help yerself.

Hey, I've always wanted to write lyrics, I've done lots, just never saved them.

(My brother's the musician, he has loads of stuff for it, decks and mixers and oooh loads a things)  Unfortunately he just seems to make headbanger music... that's what it sounds like downstairs anyway.
