Subject: Importing poser models into Bryce

Everyone seems to be doing this in order to do more detailed renderings with landscapes/water, but I have no idea how to go about importing a Poser model into Bryce. Whats the simplest way to go about doing this, and do the models retain their textures or do I need to retexture them in Bryce?? Also, if anyone has any tips for Bryce renderings of Poser models I'd be glad to hear them. I'm currently working on a relatively simple scene of a figure wading through water.

Hello, darchangel The best why I find to get poser figures into bryce is to export them as obj, then use bryce to import. if you are using bryce 3 you may have to flip the texture before import, Horizontal, I think. If you are using Bryce 4 they load allright. When you have them in Poser you will have to go into the Deep texture editor and adjust the settings, Diffuse about 70'ish and very little ambience. I think there is a tutorial for it on the attached link.

Thanks Daramski, It seems like this is more complicated than I thought. Sigh I guess I'll have to learn more about Bryce.

there is a utility program for exporting poser to bryce called grouper (attached link) export your .obj load into grouper, then load the optimized .obj into bryce, I've used it and it works well.
