Hi gang. I'm doing a few quick busts of characters for displaying at Siggraph while at e frontier's booth this year and thought I'd post them.  So far I've got one done and one nearly done. The Earth-X version of the Hulk (pretty much finished) and Captain America (WIP). I'll be doing a few more.

Thanks. Will have updates tonight, after a brief house painting experience.

Nice work. What are you doing this one in?

The wit of a misplaced ex-patriot.
I cheated on my metaphysics exam by looking into the soul of the person next to me.

Thanks. It's still Silo.

From the look I thought it might be Wings 3D.

Hi gang. I'm doing a few quick busts of characters

a few quick busts....something like that would take me a month and it still wouldn't be as good.

at present i'm struggling with the mouth corners and eye rims. i think i'm using too many loops. i thought your hulk was excellent.

you want to take a look at pirates of the carrabian 2..some great characters to get ideas from.

Thanks gang. Dann-O, I haven't really gone back to WINGS too much of late. I just borrowed the default model color from it for this one, as I liked it more than my usual brown-grey tone.

Billy, I haven't gotten the chance to see the film but I did visit Kolby Jukes Tweak forum, where they're having a session on creating characters similar to that in the film. Looks like the movie was a CG tour de force!

So, here's an update. I took it to Hex for a rough displacement test. I didn't displace the mask at all, something I will do when I'm done with the head.  It took me all day to paint the house, so I haven't gotten much more than this done on him.

Oh, for those who haven't seen the Hulk, here's the model...

For those wondering, yes, I do know how to model ears, lol...I'm just trying to get the easy stuff out of the way first and then go back in to those extra hard bits (like ears for example).

Sure was nice meeting you man. Wish I had time to actually hold a convo but you know how it is when you're boss is 2 feet behind ya.
