Meet Maylea This is the current character I am working on.. Still very much a WIP. This picture is pure poser.. No post work.. I brought it in close to check it out and liked it so much, thought I would share it. Actually this texture shares the same qualities as the Delainy and Ming Yue textures I recently made.. Any comments or suggestions as always appreciated.

Nice work! Helen, please change the camera settings so that they have a 55 to 65 mm focal length and re-render. The default focal length (25 mm) is way too wide angle for close-ups and tends to really distort faces. i think everyone will like Maylea a lot more at 55 mm. :^)

Rendered at the recommended with focal camera at 55 and I have added a morph so that you can have both the faces.. Lip area is where the change is..

Looks good .. I actually use 105 for head and 60 for full body shots for the camera angle but whatever S

Professional photographers shoot most models with 105mm or 135mm, which makes figures look pretty good, without facial distortion. The Poser Default lens settings are really terrible, especially for facial close-ups...

Absolutely! The difference between the 25mm and 55mm pictures are like night and day! I personally use 200mm on my Face Cam and 100mm-150mm for my Main Cam. I think it was Destiny who gave me that tip.

Wow! 105, huh? We learned something today, eh Helen? And see how much better she shows? Thank you for taking that trouble. You're an ace. She really is pretty.

Bjork's little sister?

Very nice! Incidently, I use 200mm as my "default" lens. While 105mm is thought of as the portrait lens, I think many photographers would like to go even longer, but they run into two limitations, the room isn't big enough to back up that much, and depth of field problems. But Poser doesn't have either limitation!
