Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 03 7:06 am)
Clothing loaded from the Figures ('character') library has to be conformed to whoever will wear it: with the clothing figure selected, it's Figure > Conform to.... then choose the person. When loading clothing from the Props library, have the person it's for selected before loading the prop. If it doesn't automatically fit, then forget it.
Don't use the trackball. Use the little hands just above it.
I think you mean this: Display > Document Style > Texture Shaded; or maybe this (see pic).
BTW this is all covered in the manual!

"3: How do I change the move options from Rotation, to simple move, and back?"
Select the BODY of a figure to move the entire thing around.
(This is easiest done using the drop-down list, 2nd from left at top of P6 preview window).
You should also get used to using the parameter dials. If they're not already displayed, you can find them via the menu Windows->Parameter Dials (click to display them. If it's already check-marked then you should have the dials already displayed somewhere...) This dialogue gives you much more precise control than using the editing tools (I almost never use the editing tools..)
Some props (especially those with several parts) are not so obvious as to which part is the "master" (ie the part to which all the rest are linked, the "top of the tree"). You can use the heirarchy editor (also in the Windows menu) to check which part is the "boss" bit. Select that and you can move the whole prop in one go.
Hope that helps,
Cheers,
Diolma

OK, heres a list of things I need/want to know:
2: How do I take the Clothing that is in the Props side menu and put it/them onto a nude model, and have it stick on the model wherever I move/pose the model?
3: How do I change the move options from Rotation, to simple move, and back?
And 4: Who can/do I switch from Block/Polygon posing to standard model posing?
